Welcome to Baton Rouge School of Korean Language (BRSKL), a unique school offering Korean language classes in Baton Rouge, LA. In January 1987, the school was first established by Louisiana State University (LSU) Korean faculty, Dr. Sung-woo Seo, Dr. Dong-soon Jang, and Dr. In-mo Yun. In April of the same year, BRSKL organized the Board of Directors and made the articles of association.
BRSKL has moved its location starting from Greater Arlington Church (Spring 1987 – Fall 1988), to LSU Allen Hall (Spring 1989 – Spring 1998), to Korean Baptist Church of Baton Rouge (Fall 1998 – Spring 2015), and to Korean Central Church of Baton Rouge (Fall 2015 – Fall 2018). Since the spring semester of 2019, we have moved back to Korean Baptist Church.
The school is financially supported by contributions from Overseas Koreans Foundations (http://www.okf.or.kr/portal/OkfMainView.do), student tuition, the Parents Association, and the Board of Directors.
